I hate you. They say that hate is too much to hold onto, a burden bared by the one who is doing the hating. But I’ve carried the weight of other people’s opinions of me around like Jacob Marley’s chains weighing me down for so long that this hate feels light. It is freeing. It is me finally loving myself. Yes, I may hate you, but if that’s what it takes to love me and to be free form your judgement, I’ll do it.
